Adopt a Livingston Parish Senior

Seniors, ages 61-99, have filled out a wish list. The lists were compiled through our local Livingston Parish Council on Aging. Seniors listed 3 items they wished for. Some this will be the only gifts they receive this holiday season.  

Some of the items on the list are very simple, basic items, like shoes or clothing. Some have some very big wishes. 

The Council on Aging suggests that items along the basic lines, that are on the wish list, are always appreciated. Sugary items, like candy and such, should only be offered if the senior asks for them due to dietary requirements.  

What's the next step? 

1. Review the links provided from each site. IMPORTANT - the different sites are listed, but all gifts will be dispersed at the main site in December.  
2. Make sure you can accommodate the requests and have them to the Livingston Council on Aging, 949 Government Street, Denham Springs by December 13th.  
3. Sign up for as many names as you, and/or your business, would like. CLICK THE IMAGE BELOW for the site you wish to assist.
4. The Council on Aging suggests you - purchase the items, wrap them - only the contents with items they requested in the packages. Items MUST BE clearly marked/labeled with the same information provided on the sign-up. Make sure your label will not fall off. (First name, last initial, age and number following such as (DS99) (L20) (M03) (S20), etc.

Note:  The Livingston Council on Aging is the facilitator of this Adopt a Senior program.
