EFCU Financial, a dynamic credit union with over 90-years history of solid growth and stability in Baton Rouge, LA, is seeking an experienced and service-oriented team player to join our team as a Compliance Coordinator. 
 
In our service-focused organization, our Compliance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the credit union operates within legal, regulatory, and ethical standards while supporting compliance-related operations. This role includes managing levies, subpoenas, and other legal documents. This team member will assist with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) responsibilities. The Compliance Coordinator provides guidance to the team members within the department.
 
 
Critical Knowledge, Skills and Educational Requirements:
 

  • Three to five years’ experience involving fraud, risk management and/or compliance in a financial institution.
  • Two-year college degree in Business, Finance, or related fields.  Additional experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Knowledge of credit union/banking procedures as they relate to money management and money movement.
  • Must have knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Professional certifications such as Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE) or Certified Bank Secrecy Act Professional (CBSAP) are preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information ethically.
  • Ability to collect, analyze and interpret financial data.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to apply basic statistical techniques.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must pass all credit and bond requirements.
  • Prior credit union experience is preferred.
