Leadership 2023 - LM Lockhart Park Enhancements

About Us

L.M. Lockhart Park in Denham Springs is the partner for our project. The park is popular for community sports, play, and gatherings. It is also home to the historic, former all-black school in Denham Springs.

Our project group chose to beautify parts of the park and commission a mural on the building. We cleaned, pressure washed and replaced landscaping around the neglected flagpole.

Mural designs are in the works and will be chosen soon. It is our hope by being attentive to the park, the community will know we care and see the natural beauty in their community.
