About Us
Online sales and transactions are common. These in-person transactions carry the risk of fraud, scams, and harm between parties.
There are locations in other communities meant to lower the risks through a designated site called Safe Trade. We are working with local police departments to bring that option to Livingston Parish. Sites are required to have cameras, 24-hour filming, lighting and must be within a police department.
Our project aspires to work with each community to offer materials and guidance on becoming a Safe Trade designated location.
