DENHAM SPRINGS MAYOR’S FORUM AND CITY COUNCIL CANDIDATES SCHEDULED BY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
The Forum is an event of the Livingston Parish Chamber of Commerce
DENHAM SPRINGS, LA— The LIVINGSTON PARISH CHAMBER OF COMMERCE is hosting a forum on October 7, 2014 at 6 p.m. The forum will be held at the Denham Springs High School Gym. Gerard Landry and John Wascom, both candidates for mayor, have confirmed their availability and will attend. Candidates for Denham Springs City Council will also be introduced at this event. Eleven of the twelve candidates have confirmed to the Chamber of Commerce their plans to attend.
A series of pre selected questions, with an opportunity for rebuttal, will be asked of the mayoral candidates. The questions will not be presented to the candidates prior to the forum. The Chamber is accepting questions from the public. Questions will be accepted through October 3rd and the Chamber will utilize those with a recurring topic.
Candidates for city council will be introduced first and have an opportunity to speak to the attendees. No questions will be accepted for council candidates. The public is invited and encouraged to attend this event.
