James Moak, the owner of Gulf South Technology Solutions, was sworn on to the Livingston Parish Chamber Board of Directors on Jan. 23 during the Chamber’s Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet. James has been involved with the Chamber through committees and sees his role on the board as the logical next step. “The Chamber is influential in Livingston Parish and there is so much potential here. There are great people and leaders and I want to be a part of the Parish’s continued growth,” said Moak.
Gulf South Technology Solutions was founded 14 years ago to provide full tech services to small and medium businesses. Moak said he wanted to start his own business so that he could provide clients with a higher level of service and provide employees with a fun culture. Livingston Parish Chamber CEO & President, April Wehrs, says that Moak’s experience will be valuable to the Chamber. “James represents the technology industry. With several decades of experience in an industry that is only growing, he provides an important point of view.”
Moak said the wide array of recreation available is his favorite aspect of Livingston Parish. He and his family have enjoyed the waterways and golf courses within the parish for the past 20 years. Moak, along with his children and grandchildren, are residents of Livingston Parish. He said having family ties is part of the reason he is passionate about future growth and prosperity of the parish.
