Grant Requested for Proposed Nature Park in Livingston Parish

On Tuesday, July 14, 2015, Denham Springs City Council Members voted on seeking a $100,000 in federal grants from the to go toward a nature park along the Amite River. The park is estimated to cost between $600,000 - $700,000 in phase 1.  The city is working with Congressman Garret Graves to assist in finding funding.
