Livingston Parish Chamber recognizes 2021 Awards 

The Livingston Parish Chamber of Commerce recognized local businesses as “Businesses of the Year” Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at their Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon, presented by Cox Business. Winners were chosen for their leadership in the business community and their dedication and impact in Livingston Parish.

Livingston Parish Chamber of Commerce President and CEO, April Wehrs, said that the awards help highlight the important role that businesses play in the community. “Innovative, growing businesses serving and engaged in Livingston Parish make a huge impact on the parish.  Of particular note here is the number of long time businesses that maintain a model that works in today’s economy.  Another relevant note is the businesses are spread to each end of the parish.  We congratulate them all.”

The 2021 Businesses of the Year are:

Large Business of the Year – Holmes Building Materials, Denham Springs
 
Small Business of the Year – Chuck’s Sportcards of Louisiana, Albany
 
Medium Business of the Year- Performance Tire & Automotive, Inc., Denham Springs
 
New Business of the Year Award – Mami’s Mexican Restaurant, Springfield
 
Community Impact Award – French Settlement Playground, French Settlement, a project of the Leadership Livingston Program.
 

2021 Board Chair, Thomas “Trey” Sanders lll awarded the Chairman’s award to Jeremy Aydell.  The award is up to the discretion of the current chair.  Mr. Sanders then passed the gavel to 2022 Board Chair, Kacie Stewart, who had been sworn in by Judge Erika Sledge.
