CONCEPTON – 1975has been an integral part of the development of Livingston Parish since its conception in 1975. AFA is a professionally licensed Architecture, Civil Engineering, and Surveying firm in the State of Louisiana. AFA is the oldest and largest engineering firm in Livingston Parish. In 2025, AFA will celebrate 50 years in business, providing an opportunity to reflect on the positive impact AFA has made in Livingston Parish over the last half a century.
Their work with local municipalities, parish government, and the school system provides clean drinking water, wastewater solutions and drainage improvement to all areas of the parish.
AFA has successfully worked to provide critical drainage solutions with evaluation, design, and implementation of drainage improvement systems. They have designed and administered capital improvement projects for roads and highways, natural gas systems, traffic analysis, and other utility projects.
We have also designed and overseen construction and improvement projects on municipal buildings, such as schools, fire stations, emergency centers and town halls, including over 500 commercial and residential developments.
Additionally, we have administered Livingston Parish’s Road Program, drainage improvement projects because of the 2016 Flood; and assisted with numerous hurricane recoveries.
Our involvement in the private sector has been equally extensive, including design and construction services for developments such as Bass Pro, OLOL in Walker, CubeSmart, Live Oak Sports Complex, Boardwalk Apartments, Denham Townhomes, Greystone Golf and Country Club, and countless residential subdivisions.
